• Fixed Gas Detectors: Permanently installed sensors that continuously monitor for specific gases. Types include:
  • Catalytic Bead Sensors: For detecting combustible hydrocarbons (e.g., methane, propane).
  • Infrared (IR) Sensors: For detecting hydrocarbons or CO2.
  • Electrochemical Sensors: For detecting toxic gases like Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S) or monitoring oxygen (O₂) deficiency.
• Gas Detection Control Panel: The central unit that powers the detectors, displays gas concentration levels, triggers audible and visual alarms, and can initiate automated responses like ventilation shutdown.
• Sampling Systems: A system that draws air from multiple remote locations (e.g., cargo tanks, pump rooms) to a central analyzer for sequential monitoring.
